Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Perform routine security duties including patrols and building monitoring
• Handle calls for assistance and regulate pedestrian and vehicular traffic
• Execute opening and closing procedures for campus buildings
• Conduct regular building walkthroughs as part of a community policing model
• Assist with security details for special events such as athletics, homecoming, and graduation
• Maintain detailed daily logs in compliance with Federal regulations
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license
• Professional appearance and ability to relate to others courteously
• Personal commitment to Jesus Christ and support for the College's mission and statement of faith

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of college-level coursework
• Experience in security or law enforcement
• Criminal Justice student or background
• Supervisory experience
