Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Patrol the campus regularly to maintain order and establish a security presence
• Monitor surveillance cameras to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Ensure all exits, doors, and windows are secured after end of operations
• Monitor and authorize vehicles or people on the property
• Report daily surveillance activity and important occurrences to the Security Supervisor
• Complete incident reports and documentation in accordance with SOPs and guidelines
• Maintain inventory of security equipment and assist individuals on campus as needed
• Call local authorities if trespassers or wrongdoers need to be removed from the area

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Current and legal Driver's License
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based systems
• Ability to perform physical duties including frequent sitting, standing, walking, and climbing stairs or ladders
• Ability to work the 2nd shift (minimum 3 days per week, typically 3:00 pm–11:30 pm)
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and communicate effectively with employees and external parties
