Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Remain alert and observe surroundings for suspicious activity or potential threats
• Monitor access points and verify identification for employees, visitors, and contractors
• Verify and document incoming and outgoing trucks, trailers, and vehicles
• Conduct patrols of platforms, parking lots, and other facility areas to prevent theft or vandalism
• Respond swiftly to emergencies, including medical incidents, accidents, or fires
• Maintain detailed records and reports of incidents or unusual occurrences
• Provide professional customer service by assisting visitors and providing directions

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid State BSIS California Guard Card
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Proficiency with computers and report writing
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and diverse weather conditions
• Availability for weekends, holidays, days, evenings, and overnights
• Must pass a pre-employment background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in security or customer service fields
• Experience with monitoring and surveillance
