Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular security rounds of all university property to ensure a safe campus environment
• Respond quickly to emergencies and maintain Emergency Response certification
• Research, report, and document crimes and incidents
• Maintain security of all keys and key access points
• Conduct traffic safety monitoring and issue traffic or parking citations
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift pass-on documentation
• Coordinate with local authorities as necessary for emergencies or incident follow-ups
• Address policy violations and maintain a high degree of professionalism in appearance
• Report maintenance and grounds issues through Daily Activity reporting

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background check
• Must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for armed roles

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in law enforcement
• Prior professional security training
