Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior premises to detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates
• Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to prevent theft
• Answer alarms, investigate disturbances, and immediately notify the Security Director or emergency services in case of fire or unauthorized presence
• Write detailed reports regarding daily activities, irregularities, property damage, or unusual occurrences
• Circulate among visitors and employees to preserve order and protect property
• Inspect and adjust security and life safety systems to ensure operational use and detect tampering
• Act as a property ambassador for visitors while maintaining a professional presence
• Assist with severe weather activities and ensure safety protocols, such as posting wet floor signs, are followed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of prior security experience, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
• CPR Certification
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge of security state and federal laws and regulations
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong oral and written communication proficiency
