Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Protect the facility by walking the property, checking buildings, equipment, and access points
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems to identify unusual activity
• Maintain and test security equipment and report technical issues
• Control facility access by authorizing employees, visitors, and deliveries
• Investigate suspicious activity and report to the Security Manager or local police
• Respond quickly to alarms and follow established safety procedures
• Complete accurate security reports and maintain up-to-date documentation
• Safely transport deliveries to authorized dispensaries and patients
• Operate company vehicles in compliance with state and organizational guidelines

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum age of 25 years old
• Previous experience in security, safety, law enforcement, or military
• Ability to de-escalate conflicts and communicate clearly
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in safety, security, law enforcement, or military
• Training and certification in First Aid and CPR
• Training in non-violent communication and conflict de-escalation
