Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Protect people and property by conducting patrols and monitoring surveillance systems
• Secure access points and monitor building controls to prevent security risks
• Respond to incidents by investigating disturbances and reporting irregularities
• Maintain order by directing traffic and interviewing witnesses
• Complete detailed written reports and enforce company policies and regulations

Requirements

• Ability to stand for up to 4 hours and lift up to 15 lbs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent judgment and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• NYS Guard Card
• NYS Driver License
• Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience
