About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily patrols and walkthroughs of campus buildings and grounds
- Lock and unlock buildings and inspect fire and access control alarm systems
- Monitor campus building conditions to prevent damage, theft, or hazards
- Investigate incidents, crimes, and complaints involving the College community
- Operate the Campus Security Communications Center by monitoring alarms and coordinating responses
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents and communications
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to attend a Campus Security Officer Academy
- Ability to work 3rd shift (11pm-7am)
- Ability to meet College Motor Vehicle Use Policy requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in criminal justice or a related field
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in the safety and security field
