Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control facility access by checking identification for personnel, visitors, vendors, and truck drivers
• Observe people and property for unusual, illegal, or dangerous activity and report findings to supervisors
• Complete required paperwork to monitor truck traffic, seals, and destinations
• Monitor electronic surveillance equipment and radio/telephone communications
• Assist with traffic and pedestrian control and direct deliveries to proper areas
• Perform duties as a roving officer and assist emergency personnel when required
• Maintain food security by notifying the facility of all incoming visitors

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years of related experience and/or training
• Valid driver's license and ability to qualify for the company driver program
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
