Security Officer Associate

Responsibilities

• Maintain highly visible foot and vehicle patrols to detect or deter fire, accidents, policy violations, and criminal acts
• Respond to and investigate suspicious, criminal, or emergency situations
• Manage verbal and physical conflicts using de-escalation techniques, physical presence, or appropriate legal force options
• Document incident reports and required documentation in a thorough, factual, and timely manner
• Assist employees, visitors, and patients with directions, escorts, and access control for secured areas
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide information and maintain a secure environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Michigan driver license
• First Aid certification (AHA)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Public Administration or Criminal Justice
• 2 years of relevant related experience
• Law Enforcement Academy or Military experience in a comparable environment
