Security Officer Armed

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle
• Monitor entrances and exits to permit only authorized persons to enter property
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or contact police/fire departments in case of fire or unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering or smoking
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma, GED, or DD214
• 6+ months of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen
• Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police training program (or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)
