Security Officer - Armed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services to safeguard personnel, property, and information
• Conduct foot, bicycle, or vehicle patrols to protect people, assets, and sensitive information
• Preserve order and enforce site rules, regulations, and directives
• Greet guests and employees, escort visitors, and secure ingress and egress points
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to detect security breaches or unusual circumstances
• Respond to emergency alarms and act as a first responder, providing first aid as necessary
• Compose clear and concise written incident and situation reports

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 2 years of verifiable experience
• Minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Ability to write clear and concise incident reports
• Ability to submit to drug screening and comply with healthcare-specific requirements (e.g., TB test and vaccinations)

Preferred Qualifications

• Military service in a law enforcement or security-related specialty (e.g., Military Police, Combat Arms)
• Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy
• Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice
• 8 or more years of military service
