Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day protective security functions as specified in daily post and detail orders
• Provide static perimeter security and roving security patrols for Range and Aerial Operations
• Guard security sites against damage, fire, theft, trespassing, and unlawful attacks
• Verify and identify employees and other persons entering the site
• Carry and operate weapons as specified in daily post and detail orders
• Develop incident reports regarding attacks, damage, theft, or unusual occurrences
• Investigate disturbances and maintain order and safety during emergencies

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be a US Citizen to obtain required security clearances
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with a counterintelligence polygraph
• Ability to pass a detailed background investigation and medical evaluation
• Ability to qualify with contract-required weapons systems
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Fluent in speaking and writing the English language
• Ability to work in harsh outdoor conditions and extreme temperatures
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain alert for shifts of at least eight hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous professional security experience
• Prior experience in Law Enforcement, Corrections, or a Military background
