Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific protocols and access procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to manage visitor access and report security or maintenance issues.
• Complete required reports and maintain a professional presence in accordance with healthcare location procedures.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Ability to work in a hospital environment that includes morgue areas.
• Ability to restrain individuals as appropriate to the role and permitted by law.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR certification.
