Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations
• Provide outstanding customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm and professional manner
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to assist with access control
• Document observations, actions, and suspicious activity according to site protocols
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience
• Possession of a guard card and/or security license
• Comfort using a computer or tablet for reporting
