Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Document observations and share relevant details with site contacts or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeters to identify unusual activity or unsecured access points.
• Monitor entry and exit activity and verify credentials to deter unauthorized access.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet.
• Must pass a background investigation and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with X-ray screening.
• Experience with access control or badge systems.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Possession of a state, county, or city-issued security license.
