Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle
• Monitor entrances and exits to permit authorized personnel and protect against theft
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or contact police/fire departments in case of emergencies or unauthorized presence
• Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering or smoking
• Investigate and prepare detailed reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary according to site Post Orders

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (verifiable)
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience and a clean driving record
• Ability to work irregular shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to the site in Fort Mill, SC
• Ability to operate radio, telephone equipment, or console monitors
• Strong communication skills and the ability to mediate conflict with tact

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)
