Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas at a government transportation location to safeguard clients and deter security-related incidents
• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, passengers, staff, and vendors
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Conduct regular patrols through public areas, restricted zones, exterior grounds, and parking locations
• Monitor entry and exit activity and verify authorized access
• Document observations, activities, and unusual events according to site protocols
• Communicate with local authorities, site contacts, and leadership regarding operational needs

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain an AOA badge (Federal Background Check)
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet
