Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials, and report suspicious behavior or access control issues.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific policies and security procedures.
• Document details of incidents and communicate with site contacts or public responders as needed.
• Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence and completing required reports.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet for reporting.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification.
