Security Officer Airport Security Screener

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and personnel by carrying out screening procedures and site-specific policies.
• Screen individuals, bags, packages, and personal items in accordance with post orders and applicable screening protocols.
• Report prohibited items or unusual findings to the appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas to deter unauthorized entry and support compliance with identification and credential procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas, screening checkpoints, and perimeter locations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience OR a college degree.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with X-Ray screening.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Experience with access control and badge management.
