Security Manager

Responsibilities

• Serve as Facility Security Officer (FSO) overseeing facility and personnel clearances, training, and compliance.
• Lead physical security operations across office, R&D, manufacturing, and recovery spaces.
• Manage the COMSEC program to protect classified communications.
• Serve as the ITPSO (Insider Threat Program Security Officer) to detect and mitigate threats to critical information.
• Act as the primary security expert for government agencies, defining storage and transmission protocols for classified assets.
• Expand and accredit SCIFs and classified production facilities in collaboration with internal teams and government stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT and Information Assurance teams to maintain classified network capabilities and CUI requirements.
• Create protocols to ensure compliance with NISPOM, DD254, and other contractual security requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
• 5+ years of experience as an FSO managing DoD and/or Intelligence Community security programs.
• Strong understanding of NISPOM, ICD 705, and DoD security protocols.
• Excellent communication skills for briefing executives and government stakeholders.
• Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by export control regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Special Access Programs (SAP/SAR).
• Experience building a security program from the ground up in a commercial or government-contractor environment.
• Previous experience as a CPSO (Contractor Program Security Officer) or CSSO (Contractor Special Security Officer).
• Hands-on experience with SCIF/SAPF planning, accreditation, and management.
