Security Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all security operations for events at two high-volume venues
• Lead, supervise, and support a team of approximately 150 security staff members
• Interview, select, train, and discipline security staff to ensure efficient operations
• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage for over 300 annual events
• Ensure 100% compliance with company security policies and local, state, and federal laws
• De-escalate tense or challenging situations in a calm and professional manner
• Monitor venue areas to take corrective action and maintain a safe environment for guests and staff
• Write detailed reports regarding daily activities, irregularities, or security incidents

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in event security management, preferably in live entertainment
• High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework or degree is a plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple events
• Proven people-management skills and the ability to lead large teams
• Ability to walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and lift/carry 50 lbs.+
