Security Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist in loss control procedures
• Coordinate information between leadership and security staff
• Develop security staff through training and mentorship
• Lead investigations of security matters
• Supervise shift activities, including patrolling, dispatching, and incident reporting
• Monitor security reports and activity logs
• Coach and review the performance of security guards
• Maintain high visibility profiles throughout the community
• Conduct periodic community patrols of perimeters, parking lots, and facilities
• Recognize and report safety hazards and security breaches
• Ensure compliance with facility management and security SOPs

Requirements

• 3-5 years of related security experience
• Strong knowledge of pertinent law and law enforcement community
• Experience with business continuity planning, investigations, and risk management
• Knowledge of information technology and information security
• Valid NY State Security License
• Certification in First Aid and CPR
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to effectively evaluate and assess immediate security needs
• Ability to handle company confidentiality and sensitive security issues
