Security & Loss Prevention Officer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to facilities by verifying identification and credentials
• Conduct security screenings, bag checks, and access control procedures
• Monitor security systems including CCTV, alarms, and access control systems
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols to detect suspicious activity or hazards
• Respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergency situations
• De-escalate conflicts and diffuse volatile situations professionally
• Maintain detailed logs of security incidents and prepare written reports
• Provide assistance and direction to employees, visitors, and contractors
• Assist in emergency preparedness drills and fire safety procedures
• Oversee contract security teams and conduct performance reviews

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Active Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Level II non-commissioned security officer license
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and incident reporting systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security, or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in physical security, law enforcement, or military
• Experience operating CCTV and access control systems
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
