Security Guard Xray Checkpoint Airport

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures and site-specific policies at a government transportation location.
• Screen visitors, employees, and permitted items at designated checkpoints using established security procedures and X-ray equipment.
• Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and required documentation before allowing entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around checkpoint areas, public spaces, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a background investigation and a drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with X-ray screening.
• Experience with access control and badge verification.
• Possession of a state, county, or city-issued security license.
