Security Guard

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous internal and external random patrols of hospital property
• Protect patients, staff, and visitors to ensure a safe environment
• Respond to emergency codes and calls for assistance following established protocols
• Investigate all forms of property loss, theft, and damage
• Enforce hospital parking regulations to maintain order
• Perform cross-functional duties as assigned by the Security Operations Manager

Requirements

• Completion of Grade XII or recognized equivalent
• Completion of a Law Enforcement/Security diploma from a recognized institution
• Current and valid Security License in accordance with the Private Security and Investigative Services Act of Ontario
• Minimum of five (5) years of recent security experience
• Demonstrated computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong report writing skills and ability to document incidents accurately
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work shifts on short notice and on an as-needed basis

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a Crisis Intervention certificate
• Certification in Legal Awareness and Use of Force or Tactical Communications
• Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) program
