Security Guard

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the property
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and parking facilities for safety concerns
• Manage access control by verifying identification and monitoring visitor/vendor access
• Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems
• Respond quickly and professionally to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents
• Coordinate with emergency responders when necessary
• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting tenants, employees, and visitors
• Enforce property rules, company policies, and safety procedures
• Complete accurate reports and incident documentation
• Maintain a highly visible professional presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional appearance and customer service skills
• Availability to work rotating continental shifts (days and nights)
• Completion of Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or high-volume customer service
• Post-secondary education in Law Enforcement, Criminology, Police Foundations, or a related discipline
