Security Guard

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior patrols to protect company people and assets
• Manage access control and monitor video management systems (VMS)
• Conduct investigations and maintain detailed report writing
• Provide medical escorts and emergency assistance
• Support loss prevention, asset protection, and disciplinary/termination procedures
• Assist with payroll distribution and monitor time clock activities
• Provide automobile assistance such as jump-starts and unlocks
• Maintain a calm demeanor and professional judgment during stressful situations

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid security officer registration (where required by law)
• Current First Aid/Basic Life Support (BLS) training
• Clean criminal record and ability to pass annual mandatory checks
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform regular foot patrols
• Proficiency in Windows OS and MS Office applications
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in security, military, or law enforcement
• Education or ongoing studies in Criminology or Criminal Justice
• Experience using Video Management Systems (VMS) and Access Control Systems
• Completion of specialized security training (e.g., verbal judo, self-defense, or crowd management)
