About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol interior and exterior areas of the community to maintain a safe environment
- Greet and screen all visitors to ensure only authorized individuals enter after hours
- Receive, log, and store overnight deliveries and notify appropriate staff
- Respond promptly to medical, fire, or security emergencies according to protocols
- Conduct routine safety inspections of doors, locks, windows, and alarm systems
- Maintain an active presence at the reception desk providing assistance to residents and staff
- Document all security incidents and daily activities in detailed written reports
- Operate security systems including access control, video surveillance, and fire alarm panels
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Previous security, concierge, or customer service experience preferred
- Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality is highly desirable
- Basic computer proficiency for security systems and electronic reporting
- Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods
- Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
