Security Guard

Responsibilities

• Carry out onsite security activities to ensure the safety of staff and customers
• Maintain security procedures for building accessibility, including visitor logs and sign-in procedures
• Monitor the facility and recommend security improvements
• Follow escalation and evacuation procedures for security threats or issues
• Report security breaches and provide input for procedural improvements
• Participate in fire drills and mock evacuation exercises
• Conduct regular physical inspections of the facility and report safety issues

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of 47-hour security guard training
• Registered Security Guard with the Division of Licensing Services or current active police officer
• Three years of experience working as a security guard
• Training and experience with electronic monitoring systems
