About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the corporate office building, warehouse, parking areas, and restricted spaces
- Conduct regular patrols of all floors, stairwells, lobby areas, parking facilities, and exterior grounds
- Verify identification and issue visitor badges according to company procedures
- Monitor CCTV systems, fire alarm systems, and security monitoring platforms
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations
- Assist with evacuation procedures during emergencies, including fire alarms and medical incidents
- Greet employees and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and daily security reports
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid state security license or ability to obtain one
- Strong observation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and monitoring systems
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and climb stairs
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior security, law enforcement, military, or corporate security experience
- CPR/First Aid certification
Benefits
- Competitive hourly wages ($20.00 - $25.00 based on experience)
- Annual bonus opportunity of 5% of base salary
