Security Guard

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned posts and maintain a visible presence to deter security threats
• Patrol premises and parking lots to identify and address security risks
• Escort guests and provide directions to ensure a secure environment
• Verify identification for guests and ensure employees display proper badges
• Monitor CCTV and conduct routine building security checks
• Respond to emergency situations and cooperate with law enforcement
• Prepare detailed incident reports and daily activity logs
• Manage and log merchandise received for pickup
• Serve as a team lead for contract security guards

Requirements

• Valid license to carry a firearm
• California State Guard Card
• California State Exposed Firearms Permit
• Proven experience as an armed security guard
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Physical fitness for patrols and potential confrontations

Preferred Qualifications

• Training in security or law enforcement
• Experience with Baton, Pepper Spray, or Taser
• Knowledge of security systems and surveillance equipment
