Security Guard

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor hotel areas including entrances, guest floors, parking, and back-of-house
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems for unusual activity
• Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and reports of suspicious behavior
• Assist in emergencies including evacuations, medical incidents, and fire alarms
• Document security activities, incidents, and irregularities in daily reports
• Enforce hotel policies, access control, and loss prevention measures
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary
• Conduct safety inspections and report hazards or maintenance needs
• Assist with crowd control during special events or high-occupancy periods

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred
• Valid security license as required by Louisiana state law
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
• Strong observational and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
