Security Guard

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of the facility and all occupants
• Provide a friendly and safe environment for staff, volunteers, patients, and visitors
• Respond to security, safety, and emergency situations
• Operate CCTV, access control, and panic device systems
• Conduct facility patrols and check in with employees working alone after hours
• Perform patient watches and monitor parking areas
• Investigate security and safety related events
• Complete forms, logs, notebooks, work orders, and incident reports
• Act as a member of the internal fire response and crisis teams

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Private Security & Investigative Services Security Guard License
• At least 6 months of security experience
• First Aid and CPR level "C"
• Ability to work 11.25-hour shifts on a rotating schedule
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Two-year community college Law & Security or Police Foundations diploma
• 3+ years of experience in a healthcare environment
