Security Engineering Manager (Cloud Security)

Responsibilities

• Lead the squad by setting expectations, providing feedback, and managing career conversations with senior ICs
• Hire, onboard, and manage team engagement and composition
• Drive technical decisions on squad architecture, including multi-cloud patterns (AWS, GCP, IaC, Kubernetes)
• Maintain technical health, including code quality, test coverage, and observability
• Translate Foundation Security and ITSec strategy into the squad's roadmap
• Manage squad financials, including tooling renewals and headcount

Requirements

• Engineering Manager experience leading a software/security squad or strong tech-lead/staff-level background
• Hands-on software engineering background in Golang, Clojure, or Python
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Pulumi
• Working knowledge of AWS at scale (IAM, networking, Security Hub, Config)
• Experience designing preventive controls and remediation pipelines
• Proven track record of hiring and developing engineers
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and shipping software products (internal platforms, APIs, CLIs)
• Exposure to CSPM/CNAPP platforms
• Experience with regulatory or compliance workstreams (PCI, ISO 27001)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes runtime security and event-streaming platforms
• Experience embedding security into AI/ML infrastructure
• Proficiency with AI coding assistants
