Security Engineering - AVP

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement information and database security solutions to enforce security strategies across existing and new systems.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for database security, providing guidance to business, operations, development, and compliance teams.
• Manage Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) platforms, including policy creation, event analysis, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Administer Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems and policies to enforce endpoint security and develop actionable detections for data leakage.
• Provide administration and operational support for endpoint security technologies, including EDR and Next-Gen Anti-virus solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain network security infrastructure, such as Firewalls and VPNs, with a specific focus on AWS Cloud Services.
• Respond to security incidents and assist with Tier-1 and Tier-2 investigations, performing root cause analysis for security violations.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide evidence of security controls and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong technical experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or security operations.
• Proven experience in database security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) engineering, or encryption engineering.
• Practical knowledge of cloud security environments, specifically AWS or Azure.
• Ability to analyze complex security risks and articulate appropriate controls to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the banking or financial services industry.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or GIAC.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Ruby) for security automation.
• Experience with security analytics toolsets and SIEM/SOAR management solutions.
