Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform application and penetration testing to ensure system resilience
• Work with engineers to analyze systems, threat model new features, and create responsive controls
• Manage and grow the private bug bounty program and lead the transition to a public program
• Collaborate with third-party vendors to perform annual application and penetration testing reports
• Provide code review feedback and maintain the security of production infrastructure
• Monitor emerging technologies to discover new security opportunities within the environment

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of web application vulnerabilities and attack vectors
• Experience with manual penetration testing and web application testing
• Experience using automated tools for reconnaissance and discovery
• Proficiency in scripting languages and at least one general-purpose programming language
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A self-directed, analytical approach with a scrappy, entrepreneurial attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Node.JS (TypeScript) or Rust
