Security Engineer – NGFW & DDOS

Responsibilities

• Act as L1 support for DDoS and Firewall technologies for Help AG customers
• Monitor, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot IP Networks and interconnected Network Security technologies
• Provide timely response to all incidents, outages, and performance alerts
• Handle incidents and escalate to SME teams in a timely manner
• Notify customers and various stakeholders to provide rapid resolution and updates
• Work within a 24/7 support team environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of demonstrable industry experience in Network Operations or Security Operations
• Expert knowledge of complex IP Networks and Network Security technologies
• Solid understanding of data center traffic flow and advanced troubleshooting techniques
• Experience with security controls including Firewalls, IPS, Antimalware, VPNs, and Sandboxing
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict SLAs in a customer-facing environment
• Willingness and ability to work 24/7 shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in technologies such as Arbor Peakflow, Arbor APS/AED, Fortinet, Palo Alto (Panorama), Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper, or F5 (LTM)
• Understanding of ITIL frameworks including change, problem, and incident management
