Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and secure Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW) platforms such as Cloudera, Hadoop, and Spark
• Implement security for Real-Time Streaming (RTS) platforms like Kafka and Flink
• Manage security tools including Ranger, Atlas, and Knox to ensure comprehensive EDW security
• Secure reporting platforms such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau across web and mobile
• Safeguard CI/CD pipelines using technologies like GitHub Actions and Jenkins
• Secure databases including Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, and Elastic while ensuring regulatory compliance
• Apply security controls for APIs, containers (Kubernetes/OpenShift), and Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
• Perform source code reviews, application penetration testing, and secure mobile platforms

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of information security engineering experience in data-native environments
• Proficiency in cybersecurity principles such as RBAC, SoD, and encryption techniques
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes security and CI/CD processes
• Strong Python automation skills for securing workflows
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CEH, CISM, or CKA/CKS
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks like PCI-DSS and GDPR

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle)
• Networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE
• Experience leading technical teams and managing stakeholders in a DevOps setting
• Expertise in microservices architecture and secure technology solutions
