About the role
Responsibilities
- Engineer security products to be production-ready and monitor toolsets to identify potential incidents, network intrusions, and malware events.
- Drive proactive threat hunting to identify emerging threats, anomalous behavior, and gaps in existing controls.
- Develop, tune, and maintain detection logic across SIEM, EDR, and cloud security platforms.
- Contribute to SOC automation initiatives, improving efficiency through playbooks, enrichment, and workflow optimization.
- Collaborate with technology teams for incident handling, patching disciplines, and system hardening frameworks.
- Manage relationships with external partners, MSSPs, threat intelligence providers, and technology vendors.
- Develop and document cyber security standards, procedures, and high-quality runbooks.
- Monitor the effectiveness of security controls and recommend improvements based on threat trends.
- Support operational resilience activities, including scenario testing and tabletop exercises.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Cyber Security, specifically dealing with incidents in Financial Services or Technology Services.
- Detailed understanding of the Kill Chain and Mitre Attack & Defend Frameworks.
- Expertise in SIEM, PAM, EDR, log analysis, and Incident Response.
- In-depth knowledge of technologies including Entra, TLS, IDS, Identity Protection, DLP, WAF, DMARC, AV/EDR, XDR, and CNAPP.
- Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, and Public Cloud environments.
- Experience working within highly regulated environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
