Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage, and support incident response for suspicious activity using SIEM, EDR, and MDR tools
• Analyze system logs, alerts, and telemetry to detect threats and identify root causes
• Lead vulnerability management efforts including triage, prioritization, and remediation
• Partner with engineering, DevOps, and platform teams to drive secure design and implementation
• Help maintain security certifications like SOC2 and implement NIST and CIS guidelines
• Review and support SAST/DAST findings to guide engineering remediation
• Contribute to metrics and reporting for supply chain cybersecurity performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, vulnerability management, or security operations
• 3+ years of experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel) and EDR tools (CrowdStrike)
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems hardening and log analysis
• Solid understanding of AWS cloud security (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3)
• Familiarity with SAST/DAST tools and workflows
• Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, SOC 2, or ISO 27001
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS security services like GuardDuty and Security Hub
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and DevSecOps
• Scripting/automation skills in Python or Bash
• Experience with threat modeling and security architecture reviews
• Relevant certifications such as GCIH, GCIA, GCLD, GCPN, or AWS Security Specialty
