Security Engineer, Investigations

Responsibilities

• Proactively hunt for threats and undetected abuse using internal data, open-source intelligence, and third-party private intelligence
• Investigate complex cases to understand abuse patterns and implement enforcement strategies to mitigate harm
• Identify opportunities to automate investigative tooling and tradecraft
• Analyze and interpret large datasets to advance investigations and quantify trends
• Implement effective strategies to prevent and disrupt abuse at scale
• Address sensitive content issues, which may include exposure to graphic or objectionable material

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, private sector security investigations, intelligence, or a related government role
• Experience working with Python, PHP, or similar scripting languages
• Proven experience conducting large-scale data analysis and utilizing big data tools (e.g., Maltego, Palantir, Tableau)
• BS/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Ability to communicate and present technical findings effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development, including prompt engineering or agent orchestration
• Experience deploying AI-driven solutions for detection, enforcement, and investigation
• Subject matter expertise in criminal organizations, child safety, human exploitation, fraud, or information operations
• Experience with open-source investigation techniques and internet research tools
• Experience managing projects with enterprise-wide impact and cross-functional stakeholders
