Security Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot secure, tamper-resistant software solutions to resolve complex technical problems
• Develop high-quality production code using Java and Spring Boot while reviewing and debugging code written by others
• Reduce security vulnerabilities by improving protocols and implementing control effectiveness assessments
• Partner with stakeholders and business leaders to identify security needs and recommend timely risk mitigations
• Own end-to-end delivery of software features from inception through deployment with rigorous testing
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers to strengthen team execution and quality
• Utilize enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate security analysis and vulnerability assessment documentation

Requirements

• 3+ years of applied security engineering experience and formal training in security concepts
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot with hands-on experience building cloud-based applications on AWS
• Strong software design fundamentals, including SOLID principles and common design patterns
• Advanced understanding of modern delivery practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and secure engineering
• Experience debugging complex distributed systems and identifying root causes across services
• Demonstrated ability to plan, design, and implement enterprise security solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Terraform for infrastructure as code
