Security Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of security technologies including SIEM, EDR, DLP, WAF, and CASB
• Investigate and triage security events, supporting incident response and documenting root-cause analysis
• Perform vulnerability assessments, infrastructure scanning, and application security testing
• Conduct security risk assessments for internal initiatives, vendors, and AI-enabled solutions
• Perform STRIDE-based threat modeling for internal projects
• Develop and maintain operational playbooks, workflows, and architecture diagrams to support security engineering

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field
• 3–5 years of experience in Information Security, Security Engineering, or Security Operations
• At least one industry-recognized security certification (CISSP, CISA, CCSP, or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, WAF, DLP, and EDR
• Experience working with public cloud platforms (AWS, IBM Cloud, or GCP)
• Knowledge of industry frameworks including NIST CSF and ISO 27001/27002
• Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to develop security automations using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Hands-on experience with OneTrust for vendor risk management
• Experience conducting threat modeling using the STRIDE methodology
