Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security features within the Granola app to protect user data
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling for security assessments, code reviews, threat modeling, and penetration testing
• Work with development teams to ensure secure coding practices are integrated throughout the SDLC
• Track, analyse, and manage application vulnerabilities using AI-assisted triage
• Support incident response by investigating application-related security incidents
• Stay current on the latest security threats and technologies

Requirements

• Extensive experience building production software with exposure to security-sensitive work (auth, data handling, API design, encryption)
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, or similar programming languages
• Experience with cloud and cloud security (AWS)
• Knowledge of secure coding practices, threat modelling, risk assessments, or incident response
• Strong communication skills to explain complex security issues
• Ability to work in-person from the London office most of the time
