Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to security strategy and enforce security policies and procedures
• Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks
• Lead response to security incidents and breaches using the Security Incident Response Plan (SIRP)
• Evaluate, implement, and manage security tools like firewalls and intrusion detection systems
• Monitor systems and applications for vulnerabilities
• Perform security analysis and penetration testing
• Incorporate security into the software development process (DevSecOps)
• Use scripting and automation to manage cloud resources

Requirements

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts (virtual networks, subnets, security groups)
• Deep knowledge of cloud security best practices and tools
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Certification in security-related fields (CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CEH) preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with industry-specific infrastructure standards
• Exposure to global business structures
