Security Engineer (DevSecOps)

Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments and audits within CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions
• Review and enhance security measures for Kubernetes and container deployments
• Implement security practices in cloud-native environments, including service mesh architectures and API gateways
• Oversee security aspects of orchestration platforms such as OpenShift
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure security is integrated while architecting and building new systems
• Develop and maintain security documentation and guidelines for CI/CD pipeline tools and processes
• Balance security requirements with system functionality to implement good architecture principles and reduce technical debt

Requirements

• Strong background in CI/CD and container technologies
• Proven experience in securing Kubernetes and containerized environments
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Python, Bash, or NodeJS
• Familiarity with OpenShift, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Istio, and DevSecOps methodologies
• In-depth knowledge of Docker, API Gateways, and Jenkins
• Understanding of network segmentation, Network Policies, and Egress policies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP)
• Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
• Other equivalent certifications in the DevSecOps domain
