Security Engineer, Detection and Response

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve Detection & Response capabilities across infrastructure, products, and research environments
• Engineer detection pipelines, rule lifecycle management, and measurement loops
• Automate response and investigations by building workflows to reduce toil
• Partner with infrastructure owners to ensure new systems include proper telemetry and threat models
• Define D&R requirements across endpoints, identity, SaaS, cloud, and Kubernetes
• Evaluate emergent security concerns in a frontier AI lab environment

Requirements

• Hands-on threat detection and/or incident response experience
• Understanding of modern adversary tradecraft (TTPs)
• Experience working in Kubernetes and containerized environments
• Proficiency with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI)
• Ability to reason about lower-level infrastructure and datacenter risks
• Strong scripting skills and interest in using AI/agent tooling for automation
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills
