Security Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure Azure cloud-based infrastructure and networking using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation.
• Optimize Azure cloud environments (tenants, subscriptions, VMs, storage, databases, and networking) for AI/ML workloads.
• Manage Azure Networking components including firewalls, VPNs, WAF, Application Gateway, Front Door, and VNET peering.
• Secure Azure Kubernetes clusters, containers, and images.
• Establish and enforce Azure security policies and manage access controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and routine tasks to increase operational efficiency.
• Monitor cloud resources, troubleshoot performance issues, and perform incident postmortems.
• Collaborate with engineering and compliance teams to integrate cloud solutions and remediate security gaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in public cloud networking and security design, implementation, and support.
• 3+ years of automation experience using Azure DevOps or GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Bicep, or YAML templates.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP (IPv4/v6) and office network management (Routing, Switching, WAN, Wi-Fi).
• Experience with managed endpoint administration at scale using tools like Microsoft Intune or Jamf.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing and securing platforms in other public clouds such as AWS or GCP.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Azure AZ-500, AZ-700, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, or Palo Alto PCNSE).
• Proven ability to research emerging technologies to improve security posture and cloud efficiency.
