Security Duty Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 personnel access control to secure classified information and sensitive materials
• Perform management and supervisory responsibilities as a shift supervisor or senior SDO
• Monitor and respond to facility fire alarms and other emergency indicators, such as lockdown alarms
• Execute repair, maintenance, and combination changes on all safes and vault locks
• Manage and maintain keys and combination control
• Conduct roving patrols and operate USG-provided paging and radio networks
• Serve as the first responder and facility focal point for medical emergencies
• Scan submitted computer software for viruses and provide daily incident reporting

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain or possess a TS/SCI with Poly
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security, access control, or CCTV operations (or 3 years with a 4-year degree)
• Ability to successfully pass a physical examination by a licensed healthcare professional
• Maintain current First Responder qualifications
• Successful completion of applicable safe and lock training
• Ability to fulfill an initial 2-year contract

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Resuscitation, Defibrillator use, or CPR certification
• Previous GSA Safe and Vault Certification
• Experience with DoD and OCONUS facilities
• Experience responding to and removing reptiles
